Facilition from A to Z

Handbook:
“In other words – ABC of facilitation”

“In other words” the ABC of non-formal education, facilitation and training theory aims to give an orientation in the diversity of those educational terms which are either hardly used in their actual meaning or are being ignored because of their ambiguity. The publication also provides a more detailed description of a few approaches which should help practicing facilitators to design their learning processes in a more effective and holistic way.

Capacity Building Materials
– DIY Toolbox

This is a Do It Yourself Toolkit for capacity building. It aims to support civil society actors, initiatives and civil society organizations to develop their working structures to act, collaborate and create impact in times of complexity and uncertainty.

The Toolbox gives you as a team of an organization, initiative, or as an informal group the possibility to explore and work on a real capacity building need of your organization or group.

There are a million different challenges organizations may face. This Toolbox focuses on eight selected themes, which deal with some of the most frequent challenges of civil society organizations. In order to prioritize which theme(s) to work on, your team can use the Toolbox to find your specific capacity building need.

There are different ways to work with this Toolbox. Use what you need! You can implement a tailor-made workshop to address and solve your capacity building need.

These workshops are called “Paths”. Each Path outlines a recommended sequence of activities, discussions, and exercises to guide you through a fruitful development process, all of which can be adjusted to your team’s specific needs. Most Paths assume that you will invest a day to work on a theme. You can also create your own Path from the Toolbox or try out individual methods one at a time.

You can find links to the different parts of the Toolbox below.
